I had an early beautiful odd shaped frame and I didn’t know what I was going to do with it. So, I prayed on it. The next day a small picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe I had on my easel fell unto my art table. That was my sign! So, I began to work on the structure of the piece and I thought that this is a special piece so I should do something different to make it stand out. I had been gifted some 14k gold leaf for my birthday and I really wanted to use it in a project so I decided to make the dress of Our Lady gold instead of the traditional red. I think the results at the end really made the image of Our Lady pop from the back ground. I am still currently working on small details of this piece. It has become a mediation work for me.
