Most of us are use to the Last Supper be presented the way Leonardo da Vinci envisioned it. As if Jesus was at a Dean Martin Roast sitting in the middle of a banquet table. I get it… that was probably the easiest way to represent all the apostles and Jesus together. I chose to represent it in a modern fashion using symbolism. I based Jesus’ face on the Shroud of Turin. The Body and Blood are represented. Each apostle is represented by their Catholic symbol. All 12 are represented. This is a cosmic Christ reaching out to us, offering us the bread of Life.
