A companion piece to the Eucharistic Sacred Heart, George and Polly’s beautiful painting highlights the self-giving receptivity of the love expressed by the Blessed Virgin Mary. While her arresting eyes engage the viewer, her hand points the way to God by gesturing toward the Holy Spirit. The symbolic dove is overshadowing her as at the Annunciation—that moment that epitomized her complete abandonment to divine providence. These themes are complemented by the Latin inscription on the banner, which quotes her famous Fiat from the Gospel of Luke: “May it be done unto me according to your word.”
Plaque prints are reproduced on 3/8”-thick wood composite, with a glossy frontside finish, a black outer bevel, and a routed keyhole slot on the back. They are ready-to-hang and are also ideal for display on a tabletop stand (not included).
