Sacred Art LIVE! Artist 2024, 2025
Diana has been making sacred art since 1985, when she started to study the Cusco School style of painting.
Jesus and the Blessed Madonna and Child are the inspiration for Diana’s work.
“My experience as a mother of three children have had a profound impact on my life and work, and I always explore the powerful and complex bond between mother and child in my paintings,” says Diana. “In general, I try to project the complex sentiment of love through my paintings. I believe in love, and the sensitive and beautiful figures I portray are designed to send a message of love and spirituality.”
Portrait of Jesus with Crown of Thorns is Diana’s favorite piece. “The crucifixion of Jesus touches my inner emotions and shows to me the love of God for humanity,” says Diana. “While painting the face of Jesus and his eyes and wounds I lose the sense of time, and my spirit feels restored.”
