Sacred Art LIVE! Artist Houston 2025
Danna Ruth Harvey is one of the quietest yet most prolific artists living and working in Houston. She has maintained a superhuman schedule over the past few years, turning out two to three annual sellout exhibitions for galleries in Galveston, Boston, Dallas and New Orleans, at the same time completing her MFA degree at Johnson State College in Vermont.
An artist whose work explores how people experience the passing of time. Harvey has finally decided to slow her own pace down to one more like the calm, reflective rhythms of her minimalist oil-and-wax landscapes. The continuing evolution of Harvey’s work, and the fact that Houston area gallery-goers might be seeing it a little less often now, offer strong reasons to see Harvey’s current exhibition, Time Stream, which opened November 27 and continues through December 31 at Buchanan Gallery in Galveston.
