With the aim to discover and feature original works of sacred art by living artists, Sacred Art LIVE! was created by Larry W. Massey Jr. along with founding artists Kate Capato, Paul Latino, Al Sauls, and Bill Stidham. The very first Sacred Art LIVE! show was hosted on campus by the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas on February 19, 2022.

Since its humble beginnings, Sacred Art LIVE! shows have been hosted by a variety of organizations that seek to support Catholic sacred arts.
